Phil`s Restaurant in Red Deer

Food is always good and the service is fast. Never had a bad meal here

Haven't been to the one in Calgary in a long time. This one in Red Deer was perfect, very close to our hotel and tournament location. Was busy but fast service and the eggs benny was very good.

Stayed in Red Deer across the road and thought we should give it a try. Great service and food.

A Red Deer gem. The food was delicious, the restaurant was packed, and the service was quick! A huge menu that makes choosing your meal somewhat time consuming. Not a problem, however! Friendly staff make for a pleasant experience!!!

I am not sure if prices are so high because of coivd or what, the plates had decent sizes but you get more flavor at Dennys. We ordered a drink a drink and it was all ice. They are just trying to nickel and dime you. Server was polite

Was hot and fast. Can't say it was bad, but I feel was the same taste as something from my oven at home.

Incredible breakfasts, great prices, and generally great atmosphere! Love that they have so many gluten friendly options! One comment is that the bathrooms could use some improvements.

Awesome Omelette today at Phil's. Very substantial. Great prompt friendly service. Arrive early in the morning or else you'll be waiting. It fills up fast on Sunday mornings.

Service was poor. Food was cold. Have eaten here numerous times, this is the first truly bad experience

Best breakfast place in red deer. Food, service and timing is consistent. Prices are also reasonable. Best coffee! Always recommend this place to others.

Food was great as always but the service was abismal.

Phil's does such good breakfast food! Last time we got pancakes with blueberries, eggs benedict, and gluten free waffles with cinnamon apples. The blueberries arent overly sweet, and the waffle didn't have a weird consistency like other gluten free stuff. You always get a lot of food as well. I would skip the monte cristo as it's kinda dry but otherwise everything I've tried has been good. It's not a good place to stop in if you have limited time as you might wait a little but the food is worth it.

Great place to meet for brunch and the staff are always so lovely and don't rush you out the door. Usually not much of a wait to be seated (obviously some waits during high traffic weekend times)

Very friendly and extremely accommodating with my wheelchair and needing access. Only thing is that the wait is always very long, even when you're actually eating. They need more staff. However the food is excellent! You can't go wrong with their breakfasts. Despite the waits, it's always lovely to eat there.

Good service and environment, but for the price charged I prefer to get larger pieces of pork loin.

Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy the food today. I am in a wheelchair and I needed to use the restroom and that is when I realized that the restaurant does not have a handicap stall or access for a wheelchair to even get into the washroom. I had to go home and the server offered to pack up my eggs benny but reheated eggs are unappetizing. I would have preferred my money back as they did not state any where that their restrooms are not wheelchair accessible. I left this restaurant feeling embarrassed and hungry.

Phil's restaurant has the best blueberry pancakes on the planet. Their staff is so friendly and I love going there for breaksfast. All of their food is fantastic, I just particularly love breakfast!

I love the food there but Phil's Restaurant closes at 3:00 pm i try to ordering on skip the dishes at 2:00 pm a hour before they close and it said Phil's restaurant is closed now chose another restaurant it makes not sense get your site fix i was very disappointed

Hands down the best breakfast to be had in Red Deer and available all day! The housemade sausage rounds are amazing and can be paired with anything from mini waffles to fresh crepes. All delivered by a pleasant staff at a reasonable price.

They do a great job with covid spacing and sanatizing. Tables spread out. Service warm and friendly.

Have not been here in decades. It is as good as I remembered. Food was wonderful, decent coffee. The prices are very reasonable. I recommend coming to Phil's if your in Red Deer.

Phil's! An iconic place to meet in red deer. Delicious food. Not a Chain so everything seems more made to eat. Took my daughter here this morning and it was busy as usual.

My husband and I chose to go to this restaurant after seeing a lot of positive reviews. I found my dish to be bland and not great overall. The hashbrowns were not bad. My husband got some pancakes which were decent. Our server came to the table to drop off our food and then disappeared... She didn't ask us how we were enjoying our food or if we needed anything. Thankfully another server picked up our plates. We waited 15 minutes for our bill... nothing. She walked nearby, however never looked in our direction. Because of the poor service and sub-par food, we will not be returning.

Ordered for takeaway. Wrong order handed over. Drove back. Order still not what had been ordered. Not the first time. Thumbs down!

Amazing food all around , breakfast the Banana cream pancakes MUST HAVE ! ( IF you like banana that is)Went there for lunch very recently and had the Rubin , best I've had I'm a long time ! Only complaint would be that they didn't have any hot or spicy mustard :-( But lots of smoked beef and sauerkraut !!! YUMMY !!!

Lovely atmosphere! The ladies that work there are amazing for service. So fast and friendly. Huge menu, not too many vegan options but a few vegetarian items. Chain-like breakfast joint, good value.

Having breakfast with 3 other friends. Food and service was very good. Sadly I had not been in Phil's for years but I will be back.

Got sat immediately as it wasn’t busy but had to wait over 15 minutes for our waitress to even acknowledge use. Food took almost an hour after ordering to come out and all of our orders were wrong. Everyone around us who had been seated after us had finished their meals before we received ours. I’ve come to this Phil’s for years but the last few times I’ve come it has just gotten worse and worse. This will be the last time I dine at or recommend this Phil’s to anyone. Truly terrible experience

Tradicional breakfast restaurant, Atlantic salmon was really good!!

The waitress here was excellent. They seated me quickly, and I was with two tiny monsters, 2, and 5. Crayons and toys were supplied and applied for my sanity and the kids had their drinks and food very quickly despite the place being absolutely full. The food was good, and the atmosphere friendly. I do recommend this place for breakfast any time of the day.
